In 2025 we celebrate the eighth centenary of the composition of the Canticle of Brother Sun. Francis of Assisi, in the spring of 1225, a few months after his experience at Alverna, wanted to spend a period of fifty days at the Monastery of San Damiano, where Clare and the first poor sisters lived.
History - 'Canticle of the Sun'
The intention is to start from the place where Francis composed the greater part of the Canticle and praised God for all creatures, and to end where the verse of forgiveness resonated, to sing together with him and with him: “ Praised be you, my Lord, by those who forgive for your love ...”.
On the same portal it will also be possible to download the brochures with the text of the celebrations in different languages.
